Certain metal complexes are known as high-performance CO2 reduction photocatalysts driven by visible light. However, most of them rely on rare, precious metals as principal components, and integrating the functions of light absorption and catalysis into a single molecular unit based on abundant metals remains a challenge. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), which can be regarded as intermediate compounds between molecules and inorganic solids, are potential platforms for the construction of a simple photocatalytic system composed only of Earth-abundant nontoxic elements. In this work, we report that a tin-based MOF enables the conversion of CO2 into formic acid with a record high apparent quantum yield (9.8 % at 400 nm) and >99 % selectivity without the need for any additional photosensitizer or catalyst. This work highlights a new MOF with strong potential for photocatalytic CO2 reduction driven by solar energy.  相似文献

In this work, we aimed to develop a dicyanomethyl radical that undergoes both reversible C−C bond formation/dissociation and metal-ligand coordination reactions to combine dynamic covalent chemistry (DCC) based on organic radicals with coordination chemistry. We have previously reported a dicyanomethyl radical conjugated with a triphenylamine ( 1 ⋅) that exhibits a monomer/dimer equilibrium between the σ-bonded dimer ( 12 ). We designed and synthesized a novel dicyanomethyl radical with a pyridyl group as a coordination point ( 2 ⋅) by replacing the phenyl group of 1 ⋅ with a 3-pyridyl group. We showed that 2 ⋅ is also in an equilibrium with the σ-bonded dimer ( 22 ) in solution and has suitable thermodynamic parameters for application in DCC. 22 coordinates to PdCl2 in a 2 : 2 ratio to selectively form a metallamacrocycle ( 22 )2(PdCl2)2, and its structure was clarified by single crystal X-ray analysis. Variable-temperature NMR, ESR, and electronic absorption measurements revealed that ( 22 )2(PdCl2)2 also undergoes the reversible C−C bond formation/dissociation reaction. Ligand-exchange experiment showed that 22 was liberated from ( 22 )2(PdCl2)2 by the addition of another ligand with a higher affinity for PdII. This work demonstrated that DCC based on dicyanomethyl radicals works orthogonally to metal-ligand coordination reactions.  相似文献

Dipalladium complexes of a cyclic bis(diimine) ligand with a double‐decker structure catalyze polymerization of ethylene and α‐olefins and copolymerization of ethylene with 1‐hexene. The polymerization of 1‐hexene yields a polymer that is mainly composed of the hexamethylene unit formed by 2,1‐insertion of the monomer into the palladium–carbon bond, followed by chain‐walking (6,1‐insertion). The polymerization of 4‐methyl‐1‐pentene proceeds by 2,1‐insertion with a selectivity of 92–97 %, and affords the polymer with methyl and 2‐methylhexyl branches. 2,1‐Insertion occurs selectively in all of the polymerization reactions of α‐olefins catalyzed by the dipalladium complexes. Ethylene polymerization with the catalyst at 100 °C lasts over 24 h, whereas the monopalladium–diimine catalyst loses its activity within 8 h at 60 °C. Polyethylene obtained by the dipalladium catalyst is less‐branched and has a higher molecular weight compared to that of the monopalladium catalyst under the same conditions. Copolymerization of ethylene with 1‐hexene affords solid products with melting points and molecular weights that vary depending on the polymerization time, suggesting formation of a block and/or gradient copolymer.  相似文献

Reported herein is the structure and the electronic properties of a novel triphenylamine derivative having two phenoxy radicals appended to the amino nitrogen atom. X‐ray single crystal analysis and the magnetic resonance measurements demonstrates the unexpected closed‐shell electronic structure, even at room temperature, of the molecule and two unusual C? N bonds with multiple‐bond character. The theoretical calculations support the experimentally determined molecular geometry with the closed‐shell electronic structure, and predicted a small HOMO–LUMO gap originating from the nonbonding character of the HOMO. The optical and electrochemical measurements show that the molecule has a remarkably small HOMO–LUMO gap compared with its triphenylamine precursor.  相似文献

A reproducible formation of strongly bent crystals was accomplished by structurally restraining macrocyclic π-conjugated molecules. The model π-units consist of two 9,10-bis(2-thienylethynyl)anthracenes with a strong propensity for stacking, which are connected in a macrocyclic fashion via two alkylene linkers. The correlation between the crystalline morphology and the macrocyclic structures restrained by a variety of flexible alkylene linker combinations was systematically studied. Bent crystals were obtained only with specific alkylene linkers of appropriate chain length. The alkylene linkers can adopt different conformations in the crystal packing, so as to fill voids within the macrocycle. The ability to form several similar molecular structures with different alkylene conformations gives rise to contaminations of different crystalline phases within a single crystal, and it is these phase contaminations which are responsible for the bending of the crystals.  相似文献

A highly stereoselective aza‐Henry reaction of α‐aryl nitromethanes with aromatic N‐Boc imines was established by using C1‐symmetric chiral ammonium betaine as a bifunctional organic base catalyst. Various substituted aryl groups for both imines and nitromethanes were tolerated in the reaction, and a series of precursors for the synthesis of unsymmetrical anti‐1,2‐diaryl ethylenediamines was provided.  相似文献

A series of symmetrical S-shaped mesogens based on 4,4′-bis-(6-bromohexyloxy)biphenyl as a central unit containing two 2-{6-[4-(4-substitutedphenylazo)phenoxy]hexyloxy}phenol as side-chain groups has been successfully synthesised. The terminal substituent was varied from halogen (X = F, Cl, Br and I) to non-halogen (X = C2H5 and OC2H5). The oligomers with C2H5 and OC2H5 substituents exhibit predominantly the monotropic nematic (N) phase. The OC2H5-containing derivatives possess long-range stability of N phase than its C2H5-containing analogue in which it has small range of N phase stability. As for halogen-containing analogues, oligomer with F exhibits monotropic N phase whilst oligomers with Cl and Br exhibit monotropic N and smectic A (SmA) phases. In addition, homologue with Br shows additional phase which is smectic B (SmB) phase upon further cooling. However, the oligomers in which F, Cl and Br were substituted by I exhibits purely monotropic SmA and SmB phases. X-ray diffraction measurements reveal that the smectic phase is inclined to the monolayer structure.  相似文献

Desmosine is a crosslinking pyridinium amino acid of elastin, which is a useful biomarker for the diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by LC–MS/MS analysis. We previously reported a synthesis of desmosine-d4, which is useful as an internal standard for quantitative LC–MS/MS analysis of desmosines, by deuterogenation of an alkyne group; however, the isotopic purity of the desmosine-d4 was only ca. 50%. The present report describes a new synthesis of desmosine-d4 that improves the isotopic purity to ca. 90% by exchanging the protons of the amino groups to deuterium using deuterogenation.  相似文献

Hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell (HSPC) transplantation is a curative treatment of hematological disorders that has been utilized for several decades. Although umbilical cord blood (UCB) is a promising source of HSPCs, the low dose of HSPCs in these preparations limits their use, prompting need for ex vivo HSPC expansion. To establish a more efficient method to expand UCB HSPCs, we developed the bioactive peptide named SL-13R and cultured UCB HSPCs (CD34+ cells) with SL-13R in animal component-free medium containing a cytokine cocktail. Following 9 days of culture with SL-13R, the numbers of total cells, CD34+, CD38− cells, and hematopoietic stem cell (HSC)-enriched cells were significantly increased relative to control. Transplantation of cells cultured with SL-13R into immunodeficient NOD/Shi-scid/IL-2Rγ knockout mice confirmed that they possess long-term reconstitution and self-renewal ability. AHNAK, ANXA2, and PLEC all interact with SL-13R. Knockdown of these genes in UCB CD34+ cells resulted in reduced numbers of hematopoietic colonies relative to SL-13R-treated and non-knockdown controls. In summary, we have identified a novel bioactive peptide SL-13R promoting expansion of UCB CD34+ cells with long-term reconstitution and self-renewal ability, suggesting its clinical use in the future.  相似文献

We have synthesized eight possible diastereoisomers 3 a – h of the C79–C97 fragment of symbiodinolide ( 1 ) in a stereodivergent manner by utilizing a dithiane addition to the aldehyde as a key step. Comparison of the 13C NMR chemical shifts of the natural product 1 and the synthetic products 3 a – h indicated that the relative stereostructure of this fragment in symbiodinolide ( 1 ) is that represented in 3 a or f . We have stereodivergently synthesized eight possible diastereoisomers of the C94–C104 fragment 4 a – h , and we have compared their 13C NMR chemical shifts with those of the natural product, which established the relative stereochemistry of this fragment to be that described in diastereoisomers 4 a or e . By combining the stereostructural outcomes of the C79–C97 and C94–C104 fragments, we have proposed four candidate compounds of the C79–C104 fragment 2 a – d . We also synthesized diastereoisomers 2 a and b ( 2 a in the preceding article; Chem. Eur. J. 2015 , DOI: 10.1002/chem.201503880) by a Julia–Kocienski olefination and diastereoisomers 2 c and d by a Wittig reaction. By comparing the 13C NMR chemical shifts of natural symbiodinolide ( 1 ) with those of the synthetic products 2 a – d , we have reassigned the stereostructure of the C79–C104 fragment of natural product 1 to be that depicted in diastereoisomer 2 b .  相似文献
